Being from the Midwest, I was unfamiliar with succulents until my husband and I moved to Southern California. The beauty and uniqueness of succulents piqued my interest, and after doing more research I was absolutely captivated by their sustainability and hardiness. I began visiting nurseries and quickly became a plant geek starting to collect—or as my husband calls it, “hoard”—succulents.   

I started Succulents by Shari in October 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic. Planting and tending to my succulent garden gave me the creative outlet that so many of us were missing and striving for during the pandemic—not to mention that it was a great way to keep my mind off the frustrations that came with virtual learning with two boys.
